Personal coaching is composed by two sessions: a visual analysis (by camera and email), followed by a live coaching. Personal assistance (once à twice a month) will take place during Kaouthar’s regular classes and workshops.

    1. Theory+Technique+Practice (100 hours)

We will address once a month (sunday) different issues, themes, styles, etc... covering the theory, the technique and the practice of the dance. In the practice part (the teaching of the theorie+technique) we will have ‘live class simulations’ where students will perform teaching classes and receive feed-back about their dancing and teaching skills.

  1. 2.Private classes of Individual coaching (50 hours)

  2. 3.

     a) Camera Coaching: Once a month, after each group class, each participant will be given a private home work: student films herself  during a dance performance and a dance class Example: if the theme was about Baladi style, the student has to film herself  a) performing a baladi dance, b) teaching a baladi class (even without students). She records it on a computer CD or DVD and send it to Kaouthar by post for evaluation. You will receive a detailed response and evaluation by email. Home work’s analysis and evaluation will be reassessed in the following ‘Live Coaching’.

Fulfilling Home work tasks is essential because they represent 50% of the final examination in june and december.

  1. b)b) Live coaching: Once a month (saturday afternoon) Kaouthar will meet you in person for a private session to provide you with personal guidance, feed-back, support and help you work on personal needs and issues.

  2. c)

  3. 2.3. Personal Assistance: ‘Teaching in Action’ (50 hours)

  4. 3.Each month (Saturday or wednesday) Kaouthar offers her belly dance school’s infrasturcure to each student for a ‘Teaching in Action’ experience. The student is Kaouthar’s Personal Assistant during classes and workshops. The focus here is to observe the practice of teaching and take notes (an important part of the learning how to teach is observing), and assisting Kaouthar personally in running classes and workshops (organisation, teaching etc.) By being Kaouthar’s PA (Personal Assistant) you will experience ‘Teaching in Action’ and learn practical valuable information that you will use during your  ‘live class simulations’ and ‘Camera coaching classes’.

  5. 4.

  6. e)4. Examination and diplomas: 2 exams  per year (in juni en dec)

  7. 6) these exams form 50% of the final examination. They will be given in a ‘real situation’.  The exam includes a written part (theorie) and a practice part (teaching a class of theorie+technique). Students will receive individual evaluation and diplomas after the exam.
