CONTENT OF THE LESSONS:
Kaouthar uses the "Raks Sharki", the classical egyptian style, which is very technical, a sort of Ballet of the Belly Dance, mostely adapted for performances.She uses also dances from Tunisia, Algeria, Lebanon, Morocco, Golf area, Turkey, etc.
She includes in her style also trance dances, symbolic dances, Andalousian dances, belly-dance disco (Shakira's style), etc.

By studying Dance Therapy Kaouthar could develop in her Belly Dance style the creative art of dancing, which is rooted in the expressive nature of dance itself. Belly Dance is one of the most fundamental arts, based in thebelief that the body, the mind and the emotions are interconnected, involving a direct expression and experience of oneself through the body. It is a basic form of authentic communication, and as such it is an especially effective medium for therapy.

The Beginners (Woe- en Zaterdag) class covers the basic foundation movements.
You will learn to master essential and simple technique with body posture and muscular balance (bekkenbodemspieren).
This class is easy to follow and easy to retain and is a good preparation for the following one (Beginners-Intermediate)!
The Beginners-Intermediate (Woe- en Zaterdag) is ideal for students who want to work on flexibility and coordination. Herer we combine foundation technique learned in the beginners class with new steps and travelling in space.
The second part of this class is dedicated to learn simple yet exciting choreographies!

The Intermediate-Advanced (Zaterdag)
This class is meant for those who want to learn sophisticated technique and combine it in structered dancecombinations and choreographies. You will learn also the skill of improvisation.
Here we work on challenge and... perfection!

Classes are build up together: in the Beginners we work on some basic movements, in the Beginners-Intermediate we combine the same basic movements with steps and some more spicy details; in the Intermediate-Advanced we combine these movements and steps in challenging choreography combinations.

*If you want a faster progress and some challenge, you can combine
two different classes, separate or together (ex. Beginners + Beginners-Intermediate
or Beginners-Intermediate + Intermediate-Advanced).
Bellydancing with Kaouthar is also great! The atmosphere in her classes is extremely friendly, spontaneous,
caring and nurturing.
